Can you answer knottysailorboy’s question about Vacation Rentals?:

Our family put deposits on two vacation rentals in Hawaii. We had to cancel the trip and gave 75 day notice to the owners/agents. One wants to give us credit towards another rental and the other says he will give us all or part of the deposit back if he rerents the property. Any ideas how we can get our money back? Does Hawaii have a consumer advocate? Can we sue them in small claims? We live in California as do both owners, do we sue in Hawaii or (preferably) California? Thanks for the help!

Can you answer KW’s question about Vacation Rentals?:

I have a rental credit with an owner in Cancun for a beach side two bedroom condo.

After talking with them, they have agreed to give me a credit and gave me permission to sell it so I can get my money back. I was going to list it on the site I originally got it from (cyberrentals, homeaway.com) but it costs 80 bucks for 3 months.

Does anybody know of any good sites that I can post this information on so I can sell this in time for some Christmas money for the family.
